would be cool if we could create a mod/pin group or something, and were to align it mods inside to topleft, topcenter, topright, etc... based on the group size which could be readjustable etc. and pinning mods together move them together, etc

if that’s what they mean it sounds decently useful

Yes but you could lock them, give groups names and color code them etc
And it would allow you to align mods in the section like if you were aligning a mod normally on the screen but condensed into the spot
And size the group which would size all the mods the same
And allow you to align properly
