As you may know, in 1.8 there is a slight cooldown between you missing a hit, and you being able to swing again. This is the reason that many servers still support 1.7, as the cooldown was added in 1.8. Lunar Client used to have this mod, but because some servers dissalowed it they had to remove it. My suggustion is that similar to servers being able to block certain mods, the NoHitDelay mod could be in the client, but it would be dissabled by default, and servers would have to enable it the same way that they block mods. This way, the only way that the mod could be enabled is if the server owner knows about the mod and what it does. I think that this could be a good addition to the client, as to my knowledge the NoHitDelay mod is still present on the client, but it is only enabled on Lunar Network, and I think that giving servers the option to enable it would greatly improve the user experience, as you wouldn’t have to switch to 1.7.10.
