Event Description
Welcome to the first event of the Lunar SMP, Season 3! The "Starter Setups" event is a contest to challenge you to design, build, and be creative to build the ultimate starter "base". We're using the term "base" for now, but it doesn't have to be a singular building or a building at all. It just needs to be the best setup build as a starter. Whether that means a super cool modern house, a cabin in the woods, a floating island, or an underground bunker, let your creativity take over and shine! βοΈ
You should be trying to showcase your building skills, resourcefulness, imagination, and dedication within the first week of the SMP. You'll have to gather materials, plan your "base" design, and create functional areas all while trying to stand out.

Rules and Guidelines

START TIME: The event starts <t:1719604800:f>.

Theme: You're to build a starter base, compound, home, headquarters, or anything in that realm. Outside of that, we don't have a hard-set theme, just have fun!

Size: There is NO size limitations! Remember though, you only have 1 week!

Functionality: Ensure your base includes the essentials for survival: a bed, storage, crafting table, furnace, and a source of food.

Storage: Must contain some kind of storage area, you'd expect to be in a normal starter home. (i.e., don't create a crazy build without functionality)

Location: You can build anywhere in the overworld, nether, or end. Just make sure your build matches the surrounding environment.

DEADLINE: All members who want to participate in this event must submit their build on the GOOGLE FORMS by <t:1720216800:f>. Winners are announced within the following day(s). π

For this first event, we're going to have internal judges, listed below. If this format works well, we'll continue it. However, if you have an idea for something different open a suggestion in #suggestion!

JUDGING CRITERIA
- Creativity: How unique, creative, imaginative, and or distinctive your build is.
- Aesthetics: How visually pleasing and appealing is your build? Does the color scheme, theme, and landscaping all match into one beautiful build?
- Functionality: How practical is your build? Does it function within Minecraft and include your starter setup essentials?
- Environment: How well does your build fit and blend into the environment, biome, and landscape surrounding your build?
