I would maybe add some more foliage and maybe some smaller light sources(torches or lamps). I think it would help give it a little more life. Other than that I really like it.

bigger sakura trees. change to twilight time of day, add some sutble fog, position the sun just behind the hills to accent the village, add some water features around the wall to help reflect light and soften those hard edges, add some volumetric fog to create god rays from the setting sun. place laterns along the paths to create contrasting light and dark areas. use both floor lamps and paper hanging lamps
and then lets see it again
not from what I can see in that screenshot. the lighting is very bland
