Imagine this. You're at The Cavern and you're locked in combat the most powerful mercenaries in Inamorta. From the cave emerges a Riptor with crystals jutting out of his body, effectively turning him into a murder train if he were to run through people. At that thought, it would happen. Your fellow soldiers are being mowed down and mauled by a single Riptor, now coated in blood, with scales that don't seem to dull albeit the amount of armor it tore through and the amount of attacks it withstood. Everyone is desperate, but just as you snap back into reality, you realize that you're the closest one to the creature.

You can see this in-game: when an Archidon fires an arrow, it falters if it travels too far.
