Why:
I'm not going to address the elephant in the room, but I starting to find a bit of bad designs in 1v1's. In 1v1's (I've already address in a idea that high elo players shouldn't be punished EXTREMELY heavily in elo for losing a match to a lower ranked player [for meta at this point has become unfun and unskilled]), you can get the same player time and time again. Before updates, you'd just resign and get a slap on the rist; now, you lose elo no matter what. You can see where I'm going with this
counter: "Just get good and beat them."
In a rock, paper, scissors clone with a fresh coat of paint, no I don't think "Just get good" is going to cut it. While yes, you can face decks that are skilled based and only winable with a skilled mind, half of time you're going to be facing up against tower decks. Also, if you get a player that just mops the floor with you, due to just countering your deck, you can get that mf FIVE TO SIX fucking times in a row; destorying your elo in huge chunks.
counter: "Just switch decks if this happens."
You also have to contend with the possibility that you might get someone else, that with your og deck would've won, but now with this new deck you swapped to....(youlostbuddy) It's hard to tell when the match making system gives the same player 25 times, break that repeating match up, or just a ton of different people of varying elo.
Ideas:
Look, I'm just saying ideas for two features for stick wars 3 that would aid in this problem
(+plus one of them would just be nice to have)
Casual 1v1:
This would allow for players to either test decks, play 1v1s without the concern of losing elo, and possibly detach players from a spiral of losses. (I'm genuinely surprised this hasn't been implemented in already [really though 1v1 casual was going to be before 2v2] ).
1v1 variety:
When facing a player, and winning or losing against them, you'll never face them again in another match for around 10-20 minutes.
