Hello @faint birch

It sounds like a power issue I had a while ago.

What Power Supply do you have?

Every part is the same since the last problem so a Seasonic 750 wats 80 gold

series Focus if i remenber well... have to open the case to confirm

While you have the side off, try plugging the PCIe power cables in on the card.

I've had cables cause something like that too.

Might maybe work.... that has resolved the problem last time!
But le catch is the case hasn't really been touch since last time.... expect for a windy blow can maintenance around september "glass panel with dust is a lil disgusting ^^"so its come back just this week after updating GC drivers.
"last update was on august 2024"

Do you have Furmark?

#

It's a good way to check for power issues

faint birch
#

No doesnt have furmark... but well i take the GC ou, give it a quick clean but a long brush "yeahhh laziness and glue everywhere on the GC dont wanna disassemble it" and seems ready to go... lil session on HellDivers2 on GC default preset and crank it up to max and no issue.............
Do ark GC keeps a registry into them to track the driver version and getting upset when it changes?

(Update) Black Screen and Reboots strikes back

#

had to get down the power delivery to 120W to not get the reboot again

Just checking but does event viewer at least show any kind of error before the crash?

#

The fact that you have to lower the power usage sounds like it could be a potential PSU not providing enough power....

I've had something like this with the cables to the card. I fitted them in and out a few times to help but ended up getting new PCIe Power cables. All my issues were fixed.
