#CPU Usage in Forza Horizon 5 on i5 12th Gen 12450H, RTX 4050 Laptop, and Future Concerns

Hello everyone,

I'd like to share an observation I've made while playing Forza Horizon 5 and seek your input on the matter. I have a laptop equipped with an i5 12th Gen 12450H processor, RTX 4050 graphics card, and 32 GB of RAM. I play the game on ultra graphic settings and haven't experienced any FPS drops or stutters. However, I've noticed that the CPU usage doesn't seem to reach the expected levels.

Specifically, is it necessary for the CPU usage to reach 100% while playing the game on ultra graphic settings? Does this significantly affect the game's performance, or is it not essential as long as the game runs smoothly?

Considering the capabilities of my system, I'm puzzled as to why the CPU usage doesn't meet my expectations. While I'm currently enjoying the game without issues, I wonder what steps I can take to optimize performance further.

Additionally, I have concerns about whether this issue might lead to problems in the future. Although everything seems fine now, what proactive measures can I take to prevent potential performance issues down the line?

The cpu does not necessarily need to be at 100% utilization all the time for it to actually work hard, as when youre playing fh5 your cpu is outputting as many frames as it can. Theres nothing you need to do to optimize for future performance as your laptop is working properly as its supposed to

Your cpu being below 100% utilization means that it can handle the work load its given and can be given more in the future

np, i actually just never thought that games cant load cpu on max

i always thought that gpu only can be loaded low compared to cpu, but looks like both things exist

I control it with its special software where I bought my laptop and it receives it directly through the bios.
