13900KS performance not delivering

juast got a 13900ks
currently in wondows and cpuz ,the cpu inly ashows 6 cores and 12 threads, if i go to boot manager im also limited to 12 threads,
i have existing windows on m.2
i installed a rtx4090
64 gb ram 6000mhz
asus strix z790e motherboard
performed the latest bios flash and it shows in the bios

what can id do to fox this
purchase was legitimate
please help

To be honest I’m trying to find some material to read on e cores and trust me I’m an amd user coming back to intel and just now I have learnt of e cores and p cores

So now my Pc shows 6p cores and 12 threads

I got a 13900ks

How would I go about disabling or enabling these cores . Motherboard I presume

That's deff wrong, the 13900ks tdp is way up there also the cores are wrong even if ecore is disabled

It would show 8c 16t if ecores were off

It would show that if you have a 13600 with ecores off

just an update guys

i had to re install windows on pc

now its showing correct

and on latest mobo version 1303

i had windows already installed and i swapped mobo and hence it was showing wrong info. a clean install of windows fixed the issue

what chipset drivers do i need for intel

is it the intel extreme utility

in hte XTU 13900ks isnt mentioned

rightclick the win logo in bottom left, click "device manager"
i avoid using driver support ect, i instal manualy, device manager is my to-do list, no extra programs needed
share screenshot of device manager if you want us to give advise on what to instal
(updates are another story, and usaly optional)

OK With the cooling working start turning up the multiplier. You could make an OC specific BIOS Profile for when you need the extra performance.

I just came to realize the asus rog III 360 actually has a 120mm and not 360mm fan fff what a marketing scam . Although intel recommend 240mm or higher for cooling . However I’ve seen a lot use this same cooler . I’m very limited to purchasing things where I am .

I’m still looking for a clear guide or forum to overclock based on my specs even though you could say limitations such as AIO

I’m having difficulty with streaming . After like 3 hrs of streaming my frames start dropping , I use dual monitor so my second monitor video playback starts acting up as if I’m loosing frames or about to crash until I Alt+tab and then the screen goes fine .
Playing GTA5 Fivem
Streaming using obs
Chrome 5 tabs open with netflix in bg

And my cpu after 3hrs or so starts randomly touching 81-83-87 degrees

That AIO is about as small as you want to go for a KS. It uses a lot of power.

You could set a more aggressive fan and pump profile to keep the CPU cooler.

You might have a positive pressure in the system. You want to go for a flow accross the system

I’ll set up AIO radiator in the front vertical as intake
For top I will place 2 fans instead of 3 as exhaust
And 1 fan at the back as exhaust as well

Take into account the rtx gpu fan too

i used easy optimization and the below are the results
