After Inserting a new Arc a750 into my system
My i5 12400 starts getting high temps hence bottlenecking performance
Any suggestions on fixing this?

check it just in case

#

if it only happens with the a750 then idk

dawn rampart
#

I just got them new

#

The case pretty cheap so idk

3 fans intake
2 fan exhaust

no thermal throttling

dawn rampart
#

But my fps drops

#

And idle gets to 48-55

junior lava
#

how? it shouldn't if it doesn't thermal throttle (which at those temps, it doesn't)

and those temps are normal when using the stock cooler

dawn rampart
#

Oh alright
What about the fps drop
I want the gpu to give out the best performance possible

#

It's more weird when I play Roblox I drop below 160 fps

junior lava
#

do you have any other examples than csgo and roblox?

dawn rampart
#

Valorant gets 280+ fps

#

It just runs worse than my old 1660 ti

#

1660 ti gets 330 fps vsg

#

Avg*

junior lava
#

depends on the game really

dawn rampart
#

Is it cause the drivers?

#

Or the game compatibility

junior lava
#

do you have the latest drivers

#

I mean its first gen, game compatability mainly

dawn rampart
#

The latest

junior lava
#

should be fine

#

and I would recommend getting something else than the stock cooler

#

if you are worried about it overheating

#

space seems kind of dense so I would get measurements to make sure the air cooler fits

One more question
Can 550w psu work well on arc a750
That might be the cause of fps drops but I'm not sure

dense zephyr
#

are the rear and top fan exhaust?

dawn rampart
#

Yup

dense zephyr
#

then how is the CPU cooler supposed to get cool air?

dawn rampart
#

With 3 intakes at the front

dense zephyr
#

well the two exhaust fans move the air right above the CPU cooler

#

Which is a down draft, so they all full air from the same area

dawn rampart
#

What should I do then? @dense zephyr
