The VDBOX handles encode/decode. Windows sees each VDBOX as a decode only, even though it handles both tasks.

I'm sorry, what is a VDBOX ?
It seems like "Video Processing" is randomly used when (de)coding videos.

VDBOX is what we call the Video encode/decode units internally/in tech docs

Most of our iGPUs and all our dGPUs have 2 VDBOXes, also shown as MFX units on Ark.
