Hi ! I have a problem with my gaming laptop, as you can see on the picture when I am in 144Hz I have this display problem: half of the screen is black as you can see on the picture.
I have as config: i7, RTX 3060, 16go ram...

I've already tried all the "tutorials" seen on the internet:

  • I've already tried all the "tutorials" on the internet: update graphics driver, uninstall, reinstall,...
  • Reset my computer

One of the only solutions I could try is to put in 60 Hz... :/ (but it doesn't solve the problem :()

It still does that even at 60Hz?

#

Might just be a hardware failure

Oh.

When did this start?

just over a month ago

At first I was on Windows 10, but when I had this bug I thought it was the fact that I didn't upgrade, so I switched to Windows 11 but still the same problem :/

Did you try running DDU in safemode, then reinstall the drivers?

The only "big" change I made is that I added a samsung SSD card but I don't see the connection between the SSD card and this problem ^^'

Does it make any difference to run the DDU in secure mode?

Safe mode will ensure it gets everything

Ah I'll give it a try, so what are the steps to follow please?

its the same as my coworker problem
but sadly the only thing you can do is to get warranty for that display

oh okay 😦 and he know what was the problem ?

his display can only output like 1/8 of the screen (unlike yours , its still half of your screen visible)

but when I put it in 60Hz I have no problems o.o

yes , its same
he connected to external display everything is fine and he changed it the external display to 60Hz , the problem is gone
when he restored it back to 165Hz (i forgot but it was Acer Predator notebook) it just display the 1/8 of the screen backs
