I found online that increasing the amount of RAM increases dedicated VRAM. I want to upgrade my laptop with more RAM if this is the case so I can play my games more effectively on my laptop which has an integrated GPU. I don't know where to start, can someone help me? For reference, I am using a Dell Inspiron 15 3511 (Intel GPU version) and my laptop currently has 16GB of RAM which gave me 128MB of dedicated video memory in addition to the 1GB of vram that was already there.

Intel uses DVMT memory allocation , Half of your Ram = VRAM
So if I got 32GB of RAM, that should be enough?
16GB is enough
Your performance is not limited by VRAM.
I have 16GB of RAM but games like Destiny 2 and Halo have difficulty running.
They require more resources
Forza Horizon 4 will work, so will GTA 5, but I really want to make sure everything runs.
My laptop supports 64GB
You have integrated graphics, VRAM is not one of the resources you’re low on. Your GPU doesn’t have much processing power, it’s designed to be power efficient. FH4 and GTAV should run fine at 1080p low/med settings. You might have to drop Destiny 2 and halo to low if you want a little more performance. Adding more ram to your system will not make it run any better.
Okay, so what's 1080p
?
1280x720 ?
1920x1080
I have my game lower than that when I have frame drops. I noticed before I added the additional RAM my GPU was Intel UHD 11th Gen
After the RAM upgrade it somehow changed to Iris Xe
