It's a little annoying when I'm trying to go to the last page and then it ends up on the 3rd page after clicking many times

That "lags" seems to stem from how the game requests the scores, so that's probably too "core" to change.
But, why would people even browse in the leaderboard that, implying that they don't even care about the next page and just wanna traverse rapidly?
I suspect 2-3 motivations to browse around heavily in the leaderboard.
- go to your own score to see the actual number.
- to scope out they neighborhood to get a feel what jumps you will make with slight adjustments
- jump to the very top to see those numbers (the existence of the histogram won't help much)
I think the must have improvement is to always show the users own scores when the leaderboard loads. That's what you wanna see.
And some quick access buttons to jump to the top and back etc. quicker would be nice. People wanna check out the top. (and the histogram will not be enough)
