Playing the heavy car, circuit 1, went into Spectate mode. No sound of car in spectate mode (much like the game intro demo), then when finished spectating the sound of the car did not return in gameplay, went to different circuits, no sound. Needed a game restart to fix.

Can confirm it happens every time you spectate a ghost. You have to restart the game to get the sfx back

One time it did come back for me but I was not sure what I did different. I spectated ghost, tried my own run and the SFX was gone, but then after a couple of no SFX runs the SFX suddenly came back on.
This only happened once and mostly I have to restart the game

basically, once the bug happened, if you completed a race and waited for it to start showing the post-race replay, the sounds would be fixed in the next race. but if you quit a race without ever seeing the replay, it would stay broken.
