I see a form of necessity if you need faction damage on something like say, caster frames since that does tend to happen as an easy source of damage amp, or if you just don’t have all faction damage mods maxed. But outside of those 2 cases yeah stacking other damage multipliers like XW or eclipse are just better.

In practise? Trading blows like this isn’t productive in the longrun because it slows down gameplay a lot since you are playing defensively.
