This happened to my beginner friend: It is possible that the screen is blackened without touching the teleporter by grazing the orb. This leaves you blinded permanently while still being on the same floor (I took damage from the killbricks on the edges)

yeah they should fix this. how can an introductory tower be this difficult for players
