Is there a way around this issue? I haven't encountered this issue with any of the other games I play.

next time it happens, could you look into what the output of "sudo dmesg -e" is?
I can't help you per-se, but I'm also facing an issue with stuttering and it might be related

I have the same issue. Seemingly random massive FPS drops, ~300 fps down to 5-20. Going to windowed mode is the only way I've found to fix it regularly. Fullscreen and borderless cause the issue to occur.

Ryzen 7 5800X3D and RTX 4090
