Seriously, they gather them up in huge numbers, then they dont do much except walk around. It fills up the choke points, and then after a rather long game, it turns those choke points to instant death senarios. One good hit from an opponent and all of those T3 mechs go up in nuke mode, killing off everything around them. Ya dont need nukes at that point. Consider, forcing the AI players to send all units to each other rather than have them pile up like an LA Freeway.

I don't think we'd have to wait that long before we see trained AI (ML) in games. Due to its open code it would be a perfect opportunity for those ambitious and skilled ai guys out there. Heck, just wait a few months more and just ask your personal ai agent to write that bot code for you. And yes, I seriously believe that.

The bots right now are fun, but performing very different on any given map. I came to believe, that the bigger the map, the more of a threat they are, because they can capitalize from the fact, that they can do everything almost at once. Sometimes there seems to be a sound strategy, but often the tactics are really bad. The combo of armada T2 snipers, mobile arty, radar, jammer and a forward observer (spybot) or the defensive meatgrinder arty are things the ai doesn't handle well.
