Armada veh having one but not cortex is just kinda unfair given how useful it is for LoS and just that it's a fun tool, no real reason for cor to not have it

Cortex vechs need some love in general. But I'm against flat equivalents for T2. They should have a very that enables a different kind of strategy that armada doesn't imo

IMO the commando could probably serve the role, with some reworking. it'd be more of an assault version than an armed spy, although gremlins very capable of wrecking things if they get in the wrong place.
