As a Beyond all Reason player
I want to be able to @somber tundraion another player in my current game
So that it is clear who I am referring to

Target of an @somber tundraion sees the message highlighted at the top of their screen and gets a different audio alert. This gets their attention and helps to ensure they are more aware when someone is trying to tell them something in a match. Also helps to avoid chat ambiguity.

The sender of an in-game chat message benefits from some autocomplete. For example, player types "@" and a list of suggestions appears based on the other players in the current match. This list gets narrowed down as the player types more characters.

Please don't ping random people, do this instead:

I want to be able to `@Mention` another player in my current game

I want to be able to @Mention another player in my current game

What you want is already a thing, it works without the @ though, autocomplete included. More audio alerts is a nice idea though.

Usually people write a maplabel in their ally's base for this. It's kind of neat in that you sort of get your own "chat window" that way without taking up any UI space.
