#Increase Maximum limits in modoptions.lua

Hello all.
Is it possible to increase some maximum limits in modoptions.lua file, to accommodate for more extreme scenarios?
For example, increasing the maximum initial resource count to play long games without building eco.
Increasing the maximum norush time, to say 90 minutes . Especially on this one, I like creating massive defensive lines against multiple barbarian AIs and see how much I can hold if I do not attack. 30 minutes is not enough to build the defenses I would like to have, that's why I'm asking for an increase.
There are multiple other maximum limits, in general it sould be nice to have them allow a larger range of values.
Thank tou for your time.

If anything we're gonna reduce the limits, not increase them

#

People tend to just go to max so we need to keep the limits sane

#

I'd argue that current limits already aren't sane but oh well

Why reduce them and strip the option?
If people go to max there may be two different explanations:
One is that the value is indeed too big, in that case the other players may vote it down or join another game,
The other is that the maximum limit is considered small, so people go to the max but they would crank it up even more if they could.

I mean, it's an option, right? Why not give it? At the very least, in Single Player... I could just sit down and observe massive armies try to break through formidable defences for hours, but I don't have the norush option high enough for this . I can guarantee that other people would also like to have the option.

Let's see if we can make the box with changed modoptions more readable

#

then i'd be way less against allowing crazy options

#

Because that's my main issue with crazy modoptions. You can't clearly see what got changed when you're just joining the room.

If you think that breaks games more than it makes them fun, it's a valid argument.
But could you allow crazy limits in Single Player? Then it's only the player who sets them that suffers.

Nope, it's all or nothing.
