The Code of Conduct is currently insanely long and I doubt many people have read it. I believe it should be shortened. @halcyon girder has a good high level example of what it might look like: https://semestriel.framapad.org/p/r.701b89f6858bc3698afbe1c9cbaa8f1c

I've worked on consolidating all of the examples given in the current CoC into 3 simple categories.

I also think the suggestion from @near furnace would be good to go hand-in-hand with this change. https://discord.com/channels/549281623154229250/1149060137814851624

And ye I mentioned somewhere in there that with the CoC reduced to its simplest expression it'd probably be a good idea to have it as mandatory reading on signup.

CoC should both be shorter and longer. Like any informal contract (it being one because you have to agree to the CoC to play/agree by default via playing) it should have a brief yet succinct version on arrival and then a link to specific and exacting details regarding each broad rule in the tldr version.

Also mods should be renamed to Code Of Conduct Kings

basically what we have atm tbh but somewhat more separated 😂

I would recommend to check out my original message referenced above, the initial suggestion includes expandos for holding the details (and I think so does Klu's, because AFAIU Klu's suggestion is actually just to discuss the Rules section from my suggestion, but you still can click them to expand)
