Sometimes a team bugs out as shown here, and until the end of the game sharing units is impossible. When you try to share a unit, the chat text appears but the unit isn't shared. Also, some teammates could share metal while some others couldn't (chat text appears, nothing happens).

When we shared metal, the text appears but the amount is never shared

I've seen this before too, and the other sharing UI won't work either. I believe you also cannot /take when a player quits, which is gamebreakingn.

related issue:

I've noticed that sometimes it won't let me use any 3 of the share buttons without collapsing the enemies list first

I've never tried to figure out why and only recently realized I could potentially solve the issue with a reloadui command, but for no obvious reason some games I can't use the player list to share units and have to use the much less convenient H menu to do so. Particularly inconvenient when I want to quickly give over a t2 con or other unit, but the process is hampered.

sharing energy/metal also seems buggy in my experience

the manual share, not the top screen slider

sometimes manual share works, other times the number that shows up when you slide the thing up will be in the negatives, and when you release it it doens't share anything

That generally means their metal is full and they don't have any room to receive more metal

It has happened to me that I can not share unit with double click. But I still get the marker (of sharing) on map. But I can share from H menu. And it has even happened, that later in game it gets "fixed", I can share with double click.

I have lately reinstalled BAR, because i got lots of Spring crashes from about 2 weeks ago. And have not seen this behawior since. But it might be a coincidence, have not played enough maybe.

Also, I had occasions when I could not /take someones units, who left. But others could take this persons units. It went to a point, that people took units, and then gifted those to me, because they knew, I can not /take 🙂
