also, as to your actual suggestion. I would suggest the best solution is to have the devs throw out a dozen or two of the most realistic suggestions in a poll, with ranked choice voting, available to all users. "vote for your favorites" type thing. That way you can easily get a pulse on WHAT things the community is wanting to be changed, and then you can have more specific polls for each one about what within that thing should change
discussions around suggestions are always going to be hectic IMO
