Not sure if its a carry over from development or a bug but going to setting hitting more then clicking the left arrow 3/4 times will display a bugged save box with location of ??? allowing the player to save anywhere.

I think that is a sort of "cheat" to save anywhere too

it definetly works, i bet its from the dev, like naming yourself !devmode gives you flight
