As seen in the video, I've used the pen tool to mask out my subject. However now I need to mask out other details again. When I used the pen tool the second time and made a selection. It's not removing the path made by the pen tool. Because of that it's not letting my add a layer mask, and it's not letting me add feather.

then you have make your path with the pentool and used the paht tool to make a selection use Selection/Modify/Feather to ad Feather that wil work. You can use Path tool to delete old path also
