Hi I've been finding it very confusing to recreate this image
I want to recreate the metallic curve concept that seemed to point into the blue shape it seems to be the blue shape that has the metallic effect. I tried using own tool and was just going about in circles I also turned the rectangle shape into a wavy line I was able to undertand how to create the metallic effect using stroke and blending options but that isn't really what I wanted to do how do I go about this please Photoshop

Hi! I think it’s just gradients on a shape creating the illusion.

#

Are you using gradients? Or something else?

Hi, Dominika, I ‘m wondering if OP is not asking about the indent at the bottom , as you created with the pen tool…

@cursive mesa Could you explain the problem a bit more? Feel free to share what you’ve achieved so far. It will help us understand better. This is an advanced visualization, so there’s often more than one correct approach.

And it was easier to show gradients on bigger piece than this thin one 😅

Indeed, you did great! I am not 100% sure of their exact goal.

I made a quick attempt and I share the psd if you want to analyse the structure.
I used Rectangle shapes with the same gradient fill (I just changed the hue for the orange one) then used Vector mask for the two copies of blue rectangles to build the overlap. Clip a drop shadow to the blue shape under and edge strokes to both... That the way I would try to mimic the effect of your sample image...Hope it will help you
