ive been dealing with this for like 4 months now and its starting to be unacceptable, every time i launch photoshop i have to wait for like 2 mins before it stops freezing and i can work, i have a decent pc (i5 9th gen rtx 3060), i have the gpu option enabled in ps and yes my software is up to date. it seems like after it stops freezing some photoshop popups appear showing the funcions like generative ai and stuff (it shows stuff thats added in the newest update idk) so im guessing it might be loading the assets for these functions or connecting with the ai cloud??? i have no idea tbh
#Incredibly annoying freezing on startup

Possibilities that come to mind are too many fonts, and problematic plugins or startup scripts. Having too many active fonts can cause long delays before the UI becomes available. There's no hard definition of "too many." It depends on your system config, RAM, HDD speed. None of this is CPU bound or GPU bound; it's all I/O bound.
You might also need to fully uninstall Photoshop, clear out caches, restart the OS, and reinstall Photoshop. There is a CC cleaner tool on the Adobe website that can help with this. https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/apps/troubleshoot/diagnostics-repair-tools/run-creative-cloud-cleaner-tool.html
