#How do I change the colour of a photo background to a solid colour background, akin to white?

Select the subject. add a solid color (white). invert the mask by pressing ctrl+i on your keyboard.
Interesting...I'll have to select the subject manually to omit the sheet music from being impacted?
don't you have that in png? that would be hard to select manually
It is derived from a PDF.
Also, a tangential question.
How do I change the colour of a solid colour background?
double click to the solid color layer head from there you can change the color.
Appreciated.
The problem is that the subject is sheet music. Would that not be difficult to select an mask automatically?
Apologies for the late response.
You might get an answer way faster by posting the image. If it is a picture of a sheet of music, using levels or curves might fit your goal.
yes. I think it will be difficult. auto mask might not work.
Why not fill a background layer with colour and see your sheet music to multiply presuming it’s black on white?
I did link the message, I'll re-post.
It definitely is pure black, so I'll try this. Set the sheet music to multiply?
Yes, sorry, I saw the original message. Will you have other sheets like those? No ways to track the song and get a simpler image to deal with?
