These are interesting and you got your own style which is cool. I would recommend experimenting with blend modes if you don't already. I frequently use Linear Dodge (add), Multiply and Screen. Also some Gaussian Blur would help blend the brush strokes together (convert your layer for smart filters first to do it non-destructively).
You can also make consistent flashlight cone shapes as a layer mask on a solid color and control the feathering to dial it in and omit brushing except for desired touch ups (the second screenpic you have to click it to see full pic). Select and Mask under Feather offers even more parameters to manipulate.
