I'm not sure the design elements fit together. The anime style character with the realistic clouds. Also, I'm not sure about the choice of fonts.

If I were trying to do this with that type of character art, I'd probably set it up a bit differently. This is just a quick example of a direction I might try... Not saying that you should or would want to do this but its an example of what I might do.

You might want to start thinking about layout proportions, like Rule of Thirds. Investigate that a bit. In an RoT-based layout, a strong design element or focal point falls on one of the main control points in the layout. Also, that your layout has some notion of flow... For example, I force the character's face to be the most important thing in the design. Then it creates a path or trail for your eyes to follow, i.e. the reading the text...
