#Glitched Text-Box Creating Phantom Text

I have never had this issue but today when editing some text, it seems that anytime I try to edit my text it creates a random 'phantom' text that cannot be erased or edited.
The text while random, is a text copy contained within the file. I just don't understand WHY this is happening.
I tried to:
-Insert a new text from scratch
-Duplicate the text
-Turn the text into a smart object
-Start the file fresh
-creating a completely new file with nothing, the text STILL appears on ANY file I make (the 8PM PST)

A video is attached of me trying to manipulate the phantom text with no success. This is not a visual glitch and saves into my work as well.

Hi!
I can't see the video properly (it satys at 0, it's not moving)
From the top of my heads it looks more like a display issue, so possibly something to do with the graphic card

  • Make sure your GC is up to date
  • check your compatibility in the help section
  • If all good try to reset your preferences (edit>preferences>general>reset on quit, close and open the program again)
