Isn't there a utility on the lego site or maybe its a 3rd party site but it lets you create your own custom minifig to be made / ordered. Maybe it shows a preview image of what it looks like before buying and you could use that

I'd rather use image manipulation. Then I can do what I want. This thing is designed for a different audience.

Yeah the one you did definitely looks better. For some reason I thought the minifig creator was more expensive and showed a 3D model preview but I must have been mistaken.
