#Layering a painting onto a canvas

Hi! 🙂 I'd like to add that painting onto my panorama canvases, they are each sperate layers without backgrounds.

How would I do that the best, optimally so I still have some texture of the fabric.

Thanks!:)

First of all, do you know you can screenshot directly with your computer?
SHIFT+Windows key + S triggers the snipping tool. You can capture both stills and videos with that shortcut

#

Because right here your photos are the wrong way round 🙂

#

Secondly, do you want your painting to appear in the holes you created?
Can you clarify a bit what you want to do (possibly share a reference for the result, it might help as well)

#

If you want your big image on the left to appear in the holes in the image on the right, just place your left image layer, below the layer of the image on the right.
Or if you want to place multiple images in the holes in the right image, you can use masks to hide the unwanted areas, or use the frame tool

#

WE'll probably need a bit more explanation there though

Gave +1 Creative Carma to @subtle wing (current: #6 - 929)

And I'd like it to end up somewhat like this

Sounds like you want to end up with 5 individual assets... like this

I just got off work so I'll try it out by Monday thanks

#

I know that in my pictures they just look like 5 squares but they are the actual product to be sold, therefore it's correct shape and texture is important to be remained:)

OK @rain dirge Let me re-read above and find your main goal again

#

Oh I saw you mention texture of the fabric. - That's even easier then.

Yes! That looks exactly like what I want! Do posts get deleted here after a while? Or am I safe to just come back here next week?

Knowing about the clipping mask feature in itself is already such a big thing, can't believe how easy things can be when you just know how to

Thanks a lot again 🙏🏻
