#I need to put textures on UVs and i don't know how.

I need to put textures on UVs i made in maya using photoshop, but i have absolutely no idea how to do it. Is anyone capable of helping me with that? The finished compass needs to ressemble the one in the photo. Our teacher posted images of what the UVs are supposed to look like after each step, but he hasn't gave us any guide. (Sorry if it's hard to understand, english is not my main language, that's why everything is in french.) The first picture is where i'm at currently.

Je sais pas trop avec Maya mais normalement vous devz ouvrir le fichier reference (wireframe, en blanc sur noir) dans photoshop et utiliser le differents elements en les placants pour qu''ils s'alignent avec leur reference correspondante. A chaque fois que vous placez un element (File>place embedded) et que vous le positionnez au bon endroit, il cree un nouveau calque.
Une fois fini, vous cachez le calque ou se trouve la reference et vous sauvez dans le format que supportes Maya.
Une fois placée, la reference sera remplacée par la texture.

Je ne connais pas le jargon en Francais, mais en Anglais que partie s'appelle une "island" (UV island) donc vous devez placer chaque element sur l'island qui lui correspond (eventuellement rapettiseer ou elargir cet element pour qu'il corresponde a la reference)

I saw the video, but it doesn't really help me with placing the textures on the uv layout.

If i understood what you said correctly, everytime i want to place a different texture, i must create another layer, which is what i was doing.

To send the colored uv layout, i should be good with the video.

The problem is the bump, metalness, spec diffuse and the other one. I have absolutely no clue of how to do it.

I'm also now speaking for 3 other people that have no clue what to do.

Your teacher had given guidance on what does what or not?
