I reached 6,964 layers and Ps won't let me create another. What do I do now?

(PS version 25.12.1 on macOS Big Sur, PSB document.)

Ah, I thought that the limit was 8000 and wanted to test it. Maybe time to merge some.

Why in gods name do you have a PSD with almost 7,000 layers?
