Hello guys, I hope whoever is reading this is having a good day.
I really need help with something that atleast to me sounds extremely simple but for some reason I am struggling to figure out how to do.
Essentially what my idea is - is to create an outline layer a few pixels away from this shape. But, I want to make sure that this outline layer is precise and accurate and so I thought the best way to do that would be for me to create a selection of the outline layer of this shape and then Modify>Expand by pixels and fill that it with a solid black. However, when using the selection tool on photoshop, the highlighted/walking ants area gets outlined on both the inner and outer layer of my shape which is not what I want. How can I only select the outer layer of a shape?
And in general, what is the best way to achieve what I am looking at.
