A Knockout is a feature in Photoshop that let's you use the shape of one Layer to punch through Layers below it. This opens up a lot of interesting possibilities.

A Knockout is a feature in Photoshop that let's you use the shape of one Layer to punch through Layers below it. Wherever the Knockout Layer is opaque, the layers beneath are transparent and reveal other Layer below them in the Layer Stack. This opens up a lot of creative and design possibilities. Try it out!
