#how do i combine two images in a quality manner?

The first two images are my resources. i was trying to experiment with replacing the first eye in there with the second one in a seamless manner. i've seen combining the two images using layer mixing freature (third picture) which completely fails. i don't know enough to fix this up.

Sorry, it was the end of the day… cool job! The merging layers was an expected workaround, it helped to align, and then you just had to adjust the mask.

I manually painted it all by myself at the end since I didn't like it
