Image sequence & Indexed color mode

I want to edit an image sequence to use indexed color mode, and then use a specific pallete,

but when I convert to 4 colors, the pallete sometimes switches order.

This causes the batch export to mess up.

Is there any way to solve this?

It looks like you're aiming for greyscale levels, so rather than changing image mode to Indexed, try adding a 4-color Posterization adjustment layer, then convert to indexed GIF or PNG on export.

I'm specifically looking for a ditherpunk video effect,
and this doesn't seem to be close to what I want, though

I found a friend who knew how to code Shadertoy though,
and managed to get an after effects effect that was 100% perfect.
