Hey, can anyone help me with something, I'm trying to re-create the background in this image, and I can't seem to reverse engineer what this guy did. The lion logo is an asset, but did he just add lines and that's it or is there something else I'm missing?

Here are the reference images

the curtain overlay, you can do relatively easily from scratch in Photoshop, with the cloud filter

#

create a new grey layer. (create a new layer, then edit>fill>neutral grey in the drop down menu)
then apply a new "cloud" filter" Filter>render>cloud
Then apply a motion filter (filter>blur motion blur) and set the direction to 90 degrees
Settings will depend on your image, so use your eyes!

#

increase the contrast with a level or curves adjstment layer

#

The top solid colour is set in a "colour" blending mode so that the colour of the curtain doesn't matter

#

Once you get that put your asset underneath the curtain and change the blending mode of the curtain, depending of what you need, either "overlay" or "screen"
