#Filter gallery preview very slow to render

Not sure if this is a hardware issue or a software issue. I find that when I open filter gallery and I often have the same 4 filters pre-loaded (3 grains and a stamp) the preview image takes around 20 seconds to fully form. It just loads very slowly block by block. Document size when this happens is always 7020px x 9930px at 300dpi.
My PC is no slouch (12th gen. Core i7, 32GB RAM, RTX3070)

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance 😊

It always loads with the last settings, so obviously them being heavy raster filters, if the image is big, it can lead to extended loading times.
To avoid this, try to run a single set of filter (and CTRL+Z to remove it thereafter) so next time it only loads the minimal amount.

There are filters that are quite heavy and some in the filter gallery are in that category.
(note that most filters from the gallery can be accessed individually in the standard filters, they are just scattered across the menu)
for example the brush strokes. If you know what you want to add and don't want to use the filter gallery, you go there directly instead, and it will load only that one:
