Hey folks! I'm pretty new to Photoshop, and I'm trying to place a letter inside of this shell. I'd like it to appear as if it's sitting inside of it, i.e. in front of the back of the shell, but behind the front lip of it. Can anyone help me figure out how to do that? Thanks!

You can use a Layer Mask on the text layer to hide pixels that you don't want to see...

Hey D. Humann, sorry to bother you again, is there a way to give the text a drop shadow and stroke, and not have them show up at the bottom of the letter once it's been edited? I've tried adding the effects before and after "hiding" the letter bottom, but it just adds the effect to the bottom of the text either way. (the actual bottom of the K is hidden inside the shell, like you showed me)
