hey, i wanna do a "ready or not" inspired logo and i wanna know how to achieve that red line effect so it looks smooth, i tried to do it by rasterizing layers and using clipping masks and it looks well for the most part but when i wanted to add an outer glow (so it'd look more like on the photo) it looked weird, what is the correct way to do it?

Perhaps Illustrator and its Intertwine function can help? 🤔

In Photoshop, you will need to apply a mask on the line layer and mask the bits that will show the latters instead.
see how it looks in my layers panel, you'll see that I have painted in black in the line layer mask, the bits that needs to be hidden by the letters.
If you want to know about masks, these are one of the most basic skills you can have in Photoshop, they are somewhat manadatory to know about (and saves you a lot of time")
You got built-in tutorials in
Help>hand-on tutorials, in the search bar type "mask" and you'll learn how to use them directly in Photoshop.
