Working reducing high color images to indexed color using forced colors, usually between 8-16. Photoshop has a tendency to try to fringe/grade black lines with other colors than the color massed next to it. How do I stop this from happening?

I’d love to learn about easier techniques to reduce images to 8 colors though. I’m using AI to create images that I want to print as stickers for my business and they take a ton of cleanup work.

It's possible some AI Upscalers might perform better edges than Photoshop can do with the built in methods. I need to test those.

The photoshop plug-in "Cut-Out" can do something like this, but it's not elegant about it if I recall.
