How do I reduce the distance between 2 point in path

I want these 2 point to get close to eachother and wonder if there are any hotkey for it rather than just manually edit it

select them both with the direct selection tool and hit CTRL+T (transform)
Hold ALT while you reduce the size
Alt will transform from the center equally

Hold ALT and SHIFT at the same time, and it will transform, from the center, but not contrained
