#tranform tool help huh huh

updated recently after not using ps for a while and now whenever i try to use the transform tool, after i click the bounding box, instead of waiting for me to hold and drag to the size i want, it just immediately resizes following my cursor and i start to cry

is there anyway to turn that off? it wasn't like that before. I want to just go into the transform/move tool and for ex. switch whether or not the size is locked before resizing it, or choose to resize just the height/width instead of automatically the whole thing

Mine doesn't do this anymore. - I checked my settings and my 'use legacy free transform' is turned OFF.

Maybe it was a bug that's been fixed. - Are you on the most recent version of PS?

Transform/Free transform not behaving as expected

Hi, I'm not new to Photoshop, been using it for years, but just not as much over the past few years.  In the past, if I wanted to transform a layer, using the move tool, I would select the layer and then click once on the bounding box to bring up the transform options on the top toolbar.  From there...
