#Need Help with Figuring out how to recreate text

I am working with someone who needs this book cover reworked. But they don't want it changed. They are looking for the same font/effect/look, they don't want me to alter or change anything. They only have the pdf file, don't know what the font is, can't tell me the size of the book cover... I've asked and can't seem to get through to them... it's like pulling teeth.

My question is... Does anyone have any ideas of what type of font this is? I'm looking for something that would be a free font so no one runs into licensing issues.
Second question is, how do I recreate the text effect? I am thinking bevel settings, but nothing I was doing was working to achieve that look).

They said that the cover they had was too blue and unreadable... which is why they put the box around the text (I suggested removing the box).

Hi, in Acrobat, Ctrl+D will give you the original size.

The font looks like to be an extremely stretched version of copperplate gothic.

Thank you. I'll try those out.

Erm, I see two texts, not sure if there is one you are trying and the other would be the original ?

Just to add to what @dusk flower said!
If you open the PDF in Illustrator or InDesign, there is a slim chance that the person who have exported as PDF didn't flatten everything: meanin that
You could get the size (with bleeds etc), you could get the name of the font, (if the font was embedded, you could even tweak the text)
The effects looks like bevel (in Photoshop, but you can also do that in illustrator) with a custom curve, so the letters look curvy also in the Z dimension.

If you don't have Illustrator or Indesign, you can share the pdf here (if you're allowed) and I could try to open it.
There is no guarantee of course, the PDF could be well flattened and all text rasterised. In that case, there is nothing we can do (except for the size, see PE's answer above)
