When i try to use regular spot heal everything just turns to mush or i cant get the thing to not warp that which is in a straight line

Also would anyone mind mentioning how to get rid of very fine dust particles or hair on a very high res image

have you tried the "remove tool" (it's a relatively new one

it's perfect for very fine lines (like stray hair etc)
